About Us

The Delaware Valley Samoyed Club was started in
the 1960's by a group of breeders and owners of
Samoyeds who realized that there was a need for
such a club. We were designated by AKC as being
responsible for the territory within a 50-mile radius of
Trenton, NJ. We became a licensed, AKC club in the
1990's

DVSC Members come from all walks of life. Some of
us have our first Samoyed. Some of us have our first
dog. Some of us have one dog. Some of us have
several dogs. Some of us have owned and bred and
shown Samoyeds for our entire lives. Some of us
have "pet-quality" Samoyeds and are not interested in
showing. Some of us are involved in rescuing
Samoyeds who have been abandoned or whose
previous owners no longer want them or are no longer
able to care for them. Some of us no longer have
Samoyeds, but still love the breed. Some of us are
older; some younger; some single; some families.
We all love Samoyeds.
